About

Veloforum is an annual interdisciplinary conference on the edge of transportation policy, sustainable development and civil society. The main target groups of the event are cycling advocates, local authorities, urban planning, and transport engineers, students.

The topic of  Veloforum 2020 is “Cycling tourism is the key to sustainable territorial development”.

In 2020, Veloforum will be held in Uzhgorod as part of the cross-border project “Bike AcceNT: Bike Access Unites Territories”.

Project “Bike AcceNT: Bicycle Accessibility Networking Territories” is co-financed by the EU within the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.

In 2019, the 11th Veloforum took place in Vinnytsia, where it gathered 200 participants and speakers from 5  countries. Previously the conference was hosted by Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Poltava, Yevpatoria, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk.

Veloforum in 2014-2016 was organized with financial support of the European Union, Hienrich Boell Foundation in Ukraine, British Embassy in Ukraine, and European Cyclists’ Federation within the Urban Cycling Development for Public Benefit project. The project aims at improving quality and efficiency of cycling policy and local and national levels. The project is implemented by the Kyiv Cyclists’ Association in partnership with Center for Social and Business Initiatives (Yaremche) and European Cyclists’ Federation (Brussels).
