Forth annual Veloforum Conference was hosted by the city of Yevpatoria (Crimea) on October 11-12, 2012.
Yevpatoriya offers its own distinct look on transportation. It is one of four cities in Ukraine, which still has a meter gauge tram system. The tram system of the city was built by the German project and is a one-track system. In 2014 Evpatoria tram will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Evpatoria is also one of the first Crimean cities to promote cycling and develop cycling routes.
Veloforum-2012 was organized by the Kyiv Cyclists’ Association and Yevpatoria City Council with the support of the Heinrich Boell Foundation in Ukraine, European Cyclists Federation, SRAM Cycling Fund,German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
